17 Hallgarth is a charming Grade II Listed cottage situated in the market town of Pickering at the foot of the North York Moors. We hold the Visitor Ready accreditation as endorsed by the AA and Visit England. The cottage is comfortable and well equipped with all the modern comforts you would expect in a traditionally furnished cottage which will take you back into a gentler age when the pace of life was slower. In 17 Hallgarth you will find modern technology rubbing shoulders with traditional decor and furnishings which all combine to allow you a relaxing and comfortable holiday away from the strains of everyday life but with all the facilities you would find at home.
17 Hallgarth is managed exclusively by the cottage owner and we aim to provide a “home from home” for our guests. We welcome children of all ages to our cottage and can provide travel cots, a high chair and a stair gate at no extra charge. The twin room has a fixed stair gate in place to provide extra security and we have a good selection of toys, games and dvds in the cottage. The garden is secure but young children will need to be supervised as it is terraced and some of the plants are toxic. There is grass and a patio area with seating and the garden is a haven for wild birds.
Dogs and other small pets are welcome at the cottage at no extra charge. The garden is secure and the town is very dog friendly.

17 Hallgarth is a lovely cottage in a great location in the town. We have stayed here quite a few times and it feels like a second home. It has everything you need. We are always welcomed with a lovely hamper and milk etc. We would highly recommend the cottage!

Another great stay. A beautiful. Cosy cottage. Very clean and Heather and family are so helpful.. Would highly recommend”
Heather thinks of everything to make your stay comfortable. The house is located in the centre of a Pickering, with interesting shops and excellent restaurants, but in a quiet street. The pretty, enclosed garden was loved by my terriers. The generous welcome hamper plus a large collection of books, CDs, toys and games are examples of the thoughtful touches provided. We have booked to return to this perfect holiday home.”
